Todd PASSED the ACT test!!!

We are very proud to announce that Todd has passed the ACT test with flying colors. For all of you who are not aware, Todd had to take this test in order to get into Local 825 (Operating Engineers Union), well out of 250 people who took it he was ranked number 11 and got a 98 as a score, a perfect score would have been a 100...he did so very well!!! We are so very proud of him, he is so very smart!! He has so many good things coming his way, we can't be more excited, he deserves so much!

Second Prenatal Appointment on Valentine's Day

Our second prenatal appointment went very well. I gained almost 10 ounces, not too bad. I'm surprised I haven't gained more since I have been eating a lot it seems like. But I will take that any day. I can't wait for Spring so I can take Brett and I out for long walks in our complex.

Valentine's Day this year was very snowy and icey, big storm that day...Daddy and I were home all day with Brett. We went to my Dr.'s appointment and the doctor said all of my blood tests that I have taken so far are all good, and my urine was good. The baby's heartbeat by the way is in the 150's...so nice and strong. Healthy baby!! My next prenatal appointment is March 14th, and I have blood tests scheduled for March 5th...the AFP testing. I will probably take that day off and spend it with Brett.

Happy Birthday Todd!!

Todd's Birthday was February 17th, he is now 27 years young! He is such a wonderful man and was very excited about his Birthday. Brett and I got up in the morning and made him pancakes which we all enjoyed and then we relaxed. He only wanted one thing for his Birthday and that was an iPod and he was absolutely surprised that his family was able to buy it for him, he was simply over the moon. I wrapped the gift in different size boxes to throw him off and boy was he ever!

Ultra-Screen (Nuchal) Testing

Friday, 2/9 was our nuchal test, which consisted of an ultrasound and blood testing for chromosomal abnormalities, spina bifida and other defects. The technician said everything looks perfect with the baby and I seem to be measuring back around Aug. 24th for my due date. Brett came with me to this appointment and got to see his little brother/sister on the screen. I got 6 new pictures of our little baby growing.

My next prenatal appointment is on February 14th (Valentine's Day!)...we will get to hear the heartbeat and do the usual testing: blood pressure, weight, and urine specimen to check for sugar. I will post after the appoinment.

Today, we are 12 weeks and 4 days pregnant! We have successfully made it to the second trimester!! WOO-HOO

First Prenatal Appointment

Our first official prenatal appointment was January 17th. They basically did the normal routine as go over things that I should stay away from while pregnant and asked Todd and I about our family history. I of course needed to get a pap smear done...they are oh so pleasant! The nurse checked my blood pressure which was 108/70 which was great and made me take a urine specimen to check for sugar and that came out fine too. So I am healthy and I am supposed to gain between 25-35 pounds...lord I hope I don't gain that much. I'm still going to exercise all throughout this pregnancy as well. I haven't gained anything thus far which is awesome...and scary since I eat all the time.

Dr. Nic, who is my ob/gyn is so nice! He is such a gentleman and is really sweet, he makes going there a lot easier because he has a wonderful personality. After my appointment was finished I was told to go to LabCorp as soon as possible for all of my bloodwork that needs to be done and I also scheduled an appointment for February 9th, for the Ultra Screen Testing or (nuchal) which is a blood test and an ultrasound to check the baby to make sure that he/she doesn't have chromosomal abnormalities, spina bifida and other health conditions. So I am a little nervouse but I know everything will go well. Our babies are strong and they make it through anything!

First ultrasound scheduled for 1/26!! (UPDATE) Everything looks fantastic with the baby..very strong heartbeat and it looks as if the baby implanted properly which is wonderful since last time we had a few scares in the beginning. The baby is measuring 5 days ahead which would give me an estimated due date of August 19th...MY BIRTHDAY!! We are so very excited.

Trip to NY to visit Aunt Dawn!!

This weekend 2/9 - 2/11 we will be up in NY visiting Aunt Dawn, Uncle Fred & Freddie. We can't wait. We are leaving on Friday around 3:30pm and hopefully will get up there around 6:30pm as long as we don't hit too much traffic. Brett hasn't seen them since he was 4 1/2 months old, what a difference from what he is doing now...it's truly amazing how fast they grow up. I wish they could stay babies forever.

Happy to be Expecting. . . Baby # 2!

The time has finally come to share our happy news with everyone! Todd and I are expecting our 2nd baby together and we are completely ecstatic, we can't wait to meet our new addition. We are due on August 24th, 2007. As of right now Todd wants to know the sex of the baby, so we might be finding out. Currently we are about 12 weeks along. Everything is going very well with this pregnancy except I am a lot more nauseas than I was with Brett. Brett is going to be a great big brother. Our children, well (our first two anyways) will be about 20 months apart which is perfect! We plan on having a very large family and want our children as close in age as possible. I absolutely LOVE being pregnant, it gives you a since of empowerment and it such a joy to know that you are giving life to someone and that he/she is growing inside of you.

Welcome!

Hi everyone! We decided to start a blog to post pics and let everyone know what is new with the Keller's...Todd of course is working like crazy with two full time jobs. He is currently waiting to get his letter from Local 825 (Operating Engineers Union), for him to come down and start training, he should be receiving it soon. I on the other hand am working tediously on my website which is called Sweetly Announced, a business that sells handmade novelties for parties and every occasion imaginable, trying to get it completed with all the pictures so I can start getting orders. I'm hoping to have gotten all of my advertisements completed and finished no later than March 15th.

Brett is doing well of course. He is now 14 months old, can you believe it? Where has the time gone?! He is doing so much these days and he is so very smart. If someone shows him something once he remembers it and will do it himself. He says "mama", dada", "baba" and is starting to learn the word "no". He has 7-8 teeth now and is walking all over the place, he basically doesn't even like to be held that much anymore. He totally brightens up our day. We are so very proud of him. I will be posting some new pictures of all of us very soon! Keep checking back frequently.
